  • Poor service at Ford parts department

I phoned the closest Ford dealer this morning looking for a OEM thermostat even offering up the correct part number. Response I got was that the part was obsolete, no longer serviced by Ford, that I'd have to go aftermarket, and that no-one in Canada or the US has them any more.

I solved the problem though... I went to Mazda!

Hmmm, maybe you heard him wrong.. maybe he was saying that Ford was obsolete and you should look aftermarket.

You know, while you're at it, if you could look and see if the car clock is available from Mazda still.. I know I (and a few others) are still interested in getting one.

Well since they were never offered here, and that I have tried, I'm pretty sure you wont get them through mazda either. But they come up on eBay from time to time

At least they seem to be the same globally.

            Ian,

I know that I have read a post where you give the part number but cannot locate it at this time.

What is the part number for the correct thermostat for the 91 B3?

            Thanks.

Might want to try this thread for various parts numbers for various thermostats.
