There's yet another meet about to happen in South Carolina. There are currently a few 'solids', like where and on what day the meet will occur. Mark your calendars for April 14th. These are the coordinates: 34.534702,-82.801655. To those who came to the meet last year, you already know that that means the KOA Kampground in Pendleton (Anderson).
Housing:
*RESERVATION LINK* There are 8 air-conditioned cabins (with wi-fi and flat-screen cable TV) and 2 park model homes, as well as several campsites. Please reserve your housing as soon as you possibly can so we can again take over the campground! If you reserve your cabin, please post which one you reserved so others will know what's available, and whether or not you'd prefer to split the cost with anyone if there are extra beds. If you would rather stay in a hotel, there are many options 5 miles north, and the only stipulation of the campground is that those who will not be staying at the campground must leave by 10PM.
Food:
Barbecue seems to be a big deal with the Festiva community, and Pendleton offers some of the best around at The Smokin' Pig. What say you? Would you rather eat at the covered Pavilion at the campground and have (huge!) barbecue sandwiches (pork, chicken, brisket) catered, or would you like to convoy to the actual restaurant (2 miles) and order from the full menu (full BBQ chicken, ribs, etc.)? I'll post the menu ASAP. ***NOTE*** Please vote in the poll. It will help to get an outlook of interest. The benefit of the catered meal is that you can pay for it in advance (through Paypal) and you won’t need to pay for it at the meet. Sides to be determined.
If you choose to bring your own food, charcoal grills are available throughout the campground.
Also, Mr. Neanderpaul plans to entertain with his musical skills!
As I did last year, I'm still trying to get some info on an autocross event open to everyone (if you have a helmet, seat belt, and $30) interested, although I understand that some drivers will not attempt this because of lack of a support trailer. PM me if you're at all interested.
