I have seats in the Baron!!!!!! That means I will not be driving the Aveo to a Ford meet again, barring any catastrophy. I found some fairly nice LX seats in an '88 at a different JY than the ones I frequent...I must get out more!

Sorry to hear about your axel issue, Dean. Amazing what 1/4 inch can do, eh?

Yeah, Skeeter makes a good point!
DJ had a similar issue and it turned out to be because the "frame" was bent/tweaked.
He just had an axle made that was slightly longer, problem solved.

You could also check for excessive engine movement - snap the throttle open and closed and make sure its not moving far, I don't remember noticing any bad mounts, but that powerful BP could have turned an OK mount into mush
    I will check the mount,

    Thanks

I used to have "it's all about the mpg." but that was in 05-06 way before the great gas hike of 08

I've been driving a B6t car on and off for the past two weeks or so... gotta say, it is a bunch of fun! Still not quite as great as driving Skeeter, even if it is faster, but a lotta fun nonetheless.
    Nate,

Had a lot of fun with it till Friday morning. The right side axle is popping out.

Went got new clips. Checked the lower control and replaced it with another arm I know was on my parts Festiva. It will click in the trans. If I pull real hard I can get it to pull out. Only if I pull with both hands very hard. It appears not to insert in the trans the last 1/8 or so like some others. I even used two other axles, same problem.

Strut seems to swing outward to easy?

I read the other axle thread just posted and my the BP car has all Festiva parts.

Put it all back in place Saturday and drove it slow up the street and the axle popped out again.
