Only a few days to go now! A local radio station contacted me about Westiva this morning. The end result of that call is that I will be doing a live in studio interview tomorrow morning!!
Looks like we will have another relatively small meet... maybe only five of us, but we'll still have a great day!Last edited by fastivaca; 07-12-2016, 08:40 PM.

Hey all,
I randomly saw your ad on Kijiji. I am Calgary, and am driving home on July 16th (early). I could meet up somewhere along the way though if there are a bunch of you from BC driving out together.
Let me know!

This will no longer be a problem when we become Canusico.....Hola y'all, eh?Originally posted by fastivaca View PostJust a quick reminder for those in the USA considering coming to Westiva.... you will need a passport to cross the border! The most recent info says to allow three weeks to gather the required documents and then another four to six weeks after that. Westiva is ten weeks away so you still have time!!!!
Here is a helpful guide about Canadians for Americans (and Mexicans too I suppose). My deep research leads me to believe all Canadians are exactly like this.

The sort of official start time is 10:00am. I'll be there a little bit earlier than that.Originally posted by ryanprins13 View PostWhen is kind of the time to be there? I know there is no official start time, but when should we plan to arrive?

Just about three weeks to go! I picked up some goodies today and my package from Rockauto arrived yesterday. If you're even thinking of coming please add you name to the list in this thread.

They are doing a little better at the Passport Office. I applied 5/7 and received the passport 5/26. Now to get the car ready for the "little" trip.Originally posted by fastivaca View PostJust a quick reminder for those in the USA considering coming to Westiva.... you will need a passport to cross the border! I still have 2 of those white festivas in my possession... lol... Sorry to say I will not be making it this year though. The time off isn't going to be available and the poor old festy is in need of an engine refresher soon.... Have a great time all, wish I could be there but we will see you all next year.Originally posted by fastivaca View PostGetting excited as I've had more interest than usual this year! Possibly three cars coming from Washington, a couple from Saskatchewan, one from Utah, perhaps from Montana and Georgia too! Plus the usual attendees from the Calgary area. Will we top 2010's numbers? Only time will tell.

2010 attendees... the year of the white Festiva. There's nine in the photo, Postman101 hadn't arrived when this shot was taken.
Please feel free to post any questions regarding the meet here or send me a PM.
I will get a "Who's coming to Westiva" thread up shortly.

Thanks, it isnt nice. Just waiting for the surgery now.Originally posted by fastivaca View PostRyan, sorry to hear of the need for heart surgery for your young one! Always tough when kids have to go through that, hope recovery goes well.
As for the seat belt bolts, or any rusty bolt for that matter, I've found "Releasall" to be invaluable. Available at Canadian Tire.
Looking forward to seeing you and your family in July!
Thanks for the tip, ill pick some up before trying to remove them.

It sounds like we will be coming. My family in one festiva that is. As long as i can get those seat belt bolts out without snapping them and the younger kid has recovered from heart surgery. Looks promising so far though!
