What would be a good place for a road trip in the first week of August?
I'm in Memphis TN, I could see a 3 or 5 hundred mile R/T easily - but to where? I might even stretch that - but it needs to be a do-able one day out and back, with time at the meet point for contact and lie swapping, wrench bending if necessary, and all of that stuff...
A 700 mile R/T is ten hours, so that seems like it would be a bit far.
One of the advantages though is that if you are looking to pin down your mileage you can use google maps to get a fill-point to fill-point accurate distance, and read the gas pump to get your total fuel used pretty closely
Anybody in?
(There can be more than one for different start points and centers)
75 miles times eight is six hundred miles, at 75 MPH it would be four hours out, a break at the meet point, and four hours running on the way back. What can we put together?
*This is why I think 500 miles is a good max baseline
Additional: 500 miles divided by 38 MPG (low ball figure) is 13.15 gallons... About twenty five bucks!
What's a cool place to go see?
I just got back from a run yesterday that was about buying a part I needed for one of my cars, and it was a blast!
Cabin fever has been eating me up for almost three years. There is something about being on an interstate highway that is like dancing with your dreams
