  • Check engine light

O.K. so my recently purchased 1992 Festiva had a really bad valve cover leak. So while trying to de-grease it, I noticed the check engine light came on. Not affecting the driveability. I replaced the gasket, no leaks. Replaced the plugs and wires, cleaned out the throttle body, changed oil, air filter. Checked and topped off the auto tranny fluid. New gasket on the throttle body, BTW. I tried the ohmmeter trick to check the codes, it didn't even move. I assume the meter is set to 12vdc. Any ideas of what I might have knocked, hit, or got wet that wasn't supposed to? Thanks.
