Thanks for posting 1chrisapple! I got my new Weber 32/36 DGEV today and should be installing it in the next day or two.
I also have my friend's 1966 Austin Healey Sprite with it's own 1100cc 4cyl and Weber 32/36 upgrade, so we're hoping to get both it and my Festy running well in the next few days!
Cheers

weber carb tuning made easier maybe sticky this
just a compilation of some of us that have swapped to weber 32/36 carbs and are looking for a good place to start tuning/swapping jets toget the most out of your new carb swap.
none of this is writin in stone it's your car.you do what you want with it.If you mess something up fix it and start again that's how you learn.now here is what I have came up with in my quest to get my carb setup right.If some one has more info to add. it would be great also. and if some one had some info to throw in about the escort carbs is good to.
hands down the best way to tune your car is either on a dyno or with a afr gauge .but I find it hard to pay that much just to get one car setup right so this is what I came up with. hope it helps others. all engines are different and elevation levels and altitude will affect tuning your car so you will have to play with jets some.
Drddans setup on his weber carb. don't know what engine dan runs
Idle Jets
primary=.050
secondary=.055
Main Jets
primary=.140
secondary=.145
Air Correction Jets
primary=.165
secondary=.175
Tried a .115 on primary main = bogged down, went back to .140
Gonna try .125/.130 to see how that does. Trying to get best mileage and performance
zoe60's setup on a b6
idle jets
primary-.050
secondary-.050
main jets
primary-.135
secondary-.145
air correction jets
primary-.170
secondary-.160
pump jet
.050
and the setup im gonna go with on a stock b3
idles jets
primary-.050
secondary-.055
main jets
primary-.120 may have to go up size or 2 here
secondary-.145
air correction jets
primary-.165
secondary-.175
now the most important things in setup is float height and I have attached a link here to show how to setup that. be sure to set float on the dgv series that's what are carbs are
also make sure there are no vaccum leaks anywhere when you are tuning your carb because if there is all you are doing is tuning around problems. This in turn will never get you a good setup.
well thats a good start I think and if there are any other questions or anything to add feel free to do so.Last edited by 1chrisapple; 08-14-2013, 12:53 PM.Tags: None
