Another body-kit question

I have heard that early civic body kits can be modified to fit our Festivas. But now I cannot find the thread. So, heres my question. What year Civic kits are best for this? I know I can get a kit from FMS but I work for a living man, I can't even get close to affording those. Very trick, but steep.
