I cut 6.5" from each side. I used some aluminum bar stock pop riveted in each side to hold things in place, then fiberglassed the gap with 3 layers of mat and resin. A little finishing bondo and paint.

It's Much better with matching colors of course. It's more of a ball cap look to it than a cowboy caddillac wannabe. No one piece makes or breaks a theme or look, it's how it all goes together.

I own a merkur with an imported cossie wing installed on car. I'd have no problem adding all kinds of 1980s euro stuff to a festiva. Anything not Japanese fad is neat and makes the jdm sheep really go o_0 because they only know cars featured in anime.

y'know looking at the final product. I gotta admit...that looks pretty awesome! Nothin like the ol F' 250 style to set off a festy. :p

kept me guessin, but now had my eyes opened. Good work man!

Opinions are like , everyone has one.....That's why I said I wasn't knocking what you were doing, just my opinion that it would look pretty sweet on the back. Like you said it's your car, do whatever you want with it!

But once again a Caravan might be a donor for a more reasonably priced spoiler. The Sport models had a rear spoiler that may lend itself to a cut down that would work on our Festy's.

Sorry for not combining my posts into one but I kept missing things before I posted the first time. Anyway, you have seen the stock festiva spoiler haven't you? Not knocking your opinion, but this thing you're using just looks like a slightly bigger stock festiva spoiler. Put this on the back and it would look a lot like the Gary Fulkerson spoiler....

Thank god someone agrees with me. I love the stock festy spoiler but if one were made that was a little more of a "whale tail" version I'd be all over it

Body work is done, I mounted it and took it down the road, feels fine. After paint and lights I'll post some more.
