I'd rather not be on the same road as you. Can you let us know where you're going to be so we can avoid the area? LOL!

    Major +1!

So I think the procedure I would follow is:

1- use air-cutter to make cuts
2- use grinder to smooth them out
3- use sledgehammer to roll in the edges a tad
    4- clean all surface rust
5- paint high gloss black with metal paint
6- put high gloss clear on it
7- Paint brake calipers red with high temp automotive paint
8- Find chrome lug nuts and/ or paint existing ones chrome on heads
    9- replace tires and re-mount
    10- ?????????
    11- PROFIT

It would look nice. I would. Think it would hold just avoid bumps and curbs.

    Cutting the steelies...

Is it possible to cut the stock steel rims from a festiva without them becoming too weak? I was thinking something along the lines of this:

The pattern is to merge every other slot and cut it all the way to the bevel in the center.

Other rims have patterns like this and remain strong, so why not the stock wheels? My only concern is that the steel would be too thin and collapse under the weight of the car.

Thoughts? I think it would look awesome if painted black with chrome bolts and red calipers.
Working...
