  • Sold my Condo and I'm getting ready to OPERATE! Nurse! B6!

I just closed on selling my @#$%^& condo yesterday and I'm waiting on the bigass $40K check to clear. No, I can't spend $40K! I have to put at least $26K on my house to lower the principle, and then pay off a few more thousand in bills.

I'll have about $4000 left over to use as cash for pretty things like guns, knives and Festivas!

Oh yeah, house repairs. Gotta redo the front porch. Etc. So I won't exactly be "rich."

But I WILL be able to fund another suspension swap and my first engine swap!

First, I'll put in the "new" steering knuckles and bearings that Matt gave me. Plus the nice 165/70-12 tires that Brian gave me! I really want to see how the combo does on ramps, etc.

The Mutt's still in my garage. It'll run but not well. Just enough to move it around on my property and short distances.

I'm thinking I'll also do my head gasket on my '93GL and then strip the Mutt down and do the swap on her. I'll have to change to FI parts (gas tank, fuel lines, etc.). Hmmm.

I also have a line on a '92L 5 speed from a coworker. It hasn't run for almost two years and needs brakes. I can get it for $125! Haven't looked at it yet though. I think it'll just need a battery and some TLC. It could make a good driver while I "B6" one of the other two. Or maybe it would be my first engine project? Won't know till I look at it and get it running.

I'm thinking fixing my '93GL should keep me getting around while I redo the Mutt and install a B6. May take till fall.

The main complications now are we're a bit short at work and my house needs various upkeep work. But I should have the time and money to begin some car stuff. FINALLY!

    Comments, ideas?
