Freiburg (Germany) - Researchers at Germany's Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft (FG) have developed a liquid crystal lubricant that reduces friction to almost zero. Built of the same materials inside our LCD monitors, for applications like gears and bearings this new discovery may put oil out of business.
