Today I was looking around under the hood when I started noticing that my mechanic apparently fooled around in the engine compartment without my permission. I spotted a rubber hose from the solenoid near the wiper motor that was hanging loose and plugged with a screw...Checked pictures to see where it's supposed to go, which was to the charcoal canister, look around and...No more charcoal canister!!! All the hoses that were connected to it are still there but are all plugged with a screw...AARRGGHHH!!! It makes me mad!!! I spent a lot of time to make sure everything was stock-looking and functional under the hood, and this fool starts to make mods without my approval, while I'm paying the bill!!! So my question is: does missing that part and having all the hoses plugged affect driveability or idle? Like I said, even though I swapped in a BP, I want all its accessories to be funtional even power-robbing anti-pollution devices. Plus, if every car has a charcoal canister, it must be there for a reason, right?
