I'm thinking someone mis read the year. Saw "89" and didn't notice the date is 1988.

Thats what Im thinking My 1989 has a production date of 9/14/88

Any car built from 9/92-8/93 is sold as a 93.

That would be a 90 model fresh. 9th - 12th month cars are sold as the following year model.

prior to 1990, only the month of production was listed on the door jamb sticker.

My 1989 shows a production date on the door jamb of 9/14/88

Unfortunately, the title of this thread is "Oldest" Festiva. That, by my calculation, puts you... smack... in last place.

It's 5/87 to tie.....earlier to dominate. I promise to shut my cyber mouth when that happens.
