When I put the engine in my aspire, came from a festiva with 107k, it had a new timing belt and the water pump I thought was new as well. The bearings seemed to be fairly tight, no sloop. At idle I can hear a whirr and if I rev it up and let off it lets off a high pitch moan. The block was only half full with antifreeze when I pulled it out, and I don't know how long it was like that. It's not overheating so I properly leave it till it implodes or explodes. I put a new waterpump in a 88 i had and sounded the same. Should I worry about it?
