  • torque value for spark plugs ?

I'm changing the spark plugs on my 97 aspire, I don't have a manual yet. At what value should I torque them down, I don't want to strip the aluminum head ! Thanks !

The book says 15 to 22 ft. lbs. I always go to the light side of the torque. I would rather have a plug come loose than rip out the treads. Coat the spark plug threads with a good coating of anti-sieze before you install them, too.

stuck plugs suck Just tighten them to feel snug them down. They don't come lose or at least none of mine have!
