I am installing an electric fuel pump into a car with a carb wiring harness. I need to get power to the pump. I assume black is ground and yellow is the power to the fuel level sender. The third wire must be the power for the pump. I believe I have to route this to the inertia switch behind the rear wheel well, then forward to the fuel pump relay. Is this correct? Where is the fuel pump relay located on an EFI Festiva? Is the fuel pump relay connector present in the 1989 wiring harness? If so, does power get there when you turn the key in the ignition?
It appears that the terminals on the three wire connector are slightly larger than on the four wire connector. It won't be as easy as I thought to swap over the fuel pump terminals.
Any answers or comments will be greatly appreciated.
