Hi,
I have a 1996 Ford Festiva GLi.
When the car is cold or the engine has been turned off for several minutes and then driven again there is a hard jolt from first to second gear. This jolt occurs for about 5-10 minutes of driving and then goes away.
The fluid levels are perfect. I have flushed the transmission fluid, removed the junk (about a thimble full of iron), and changed the filter. Yet the problem remains.
Does anyone know what it could be? and any solutions?
