Aspire engine into a Festiva?

Hey guys, I am new to this site. I have a quick question: Can a 1994 Aspire engine be swapped into a 1990 Festiva? My Festiva engine is shot and I found an Aspire engine. The guy at the junkyard says his computer says it won't work and, if I buy the engine to try this swap, he won't take it back if it won't work. Thanks

I have Aspire engine in Festiva so far I have;
Changed intake Manifold to Festiva.
Changed oil pressure sensor to Festiva.
Changed bottom timing belt cover to Festiva.
Changed distributor to Festiva.

If I remember I think that is all so far, almost ready to fire it up, will keep you posted.

They have the same engine so you should be fine.

if you need some gaskets (intake/exhaust) let me know. I have some I'll let go cheap! I decided to go with a B6 swap instead of using a B3, and they won't work for me.
