my speedo is wrong

so i am on the highway and it looks like i am going 100 k but i am only going 92 k.
my tires are stock but i am thinking that if i go up a size it would fix the speed problem and Also get better mpg.
the way i see it is a little bigger tire will go faster at the same engine rev so it would work out .

or am i stupid???
what would you guys do???

sounds like a plan a higher profile tire would prolly do it. What size do u have on it? I would have to go get in my car for it's owners manual to tell u what factory calls for. If I remember tomm when I wake I will post it.

just dont go too big! im running 175/80r13's and my speedo is like 15-17mph behind my actual speed lol... im always going faster than i think!
