That's really weird, because mine usually stops working when it's too cold out. The driver's side seatbelt too.

I cleaned the contacts and greased the springs in both dome light switches, so I guess the grease hangs up and won't let the contacts do their jobs. Assuming the same for the door latch switch that controls the passive seatbelts.

With the last name of Watt, you better being right. I put in a new bulb when I got the car a week and a half ago and it just started working today. I'll have to wait till it gets warmer and see if it stops working. I'll pulled it in the shop at work for a couple hours since it is warmer to see if it would stop working and it still comes on. I'll try the LED thing if thelight stops coming on.

the dome light on our Aspire works great, just had to turn it off incase we don't shut one of the doors and light stays on.... the one in my Festiva GL only works if you manually turn it on from the switch...

I wouldn't mind a daylight sensor, but a temp sensor doesn't do me any good.

The chime works when I leave the key in the ignition or leave the lights on, so I assume they're working. Plus both sides do the same thing.

So, on my Festiva that I recently sold, I battled the dome light the whole time I owned it. I tired different dome lights, cleaned the door contacts, but could only get the darn thing to work when the temperature was near freezing or below. The one thing I was looking forward to with my "new" Aspire, was having a working dome light. Well, it didn't work either. I decided to take a look at it today and the son of a gun came on when I opened the door. A cold front came through last night and the temp is about 37 right now. What the heck? I'm baffled.
