hmmmmm....i dunno i'll have to think about it. and it's going to have to wait till the next time i get up to the car...
so only the A/C button is needed? not the entire 'control panel'? i don't remember what a non-A/C panel looks like. it's been a loooonng time since then.

Fixed.............LOL What I really need is only the compressor, but I'd be willing to buy the whole set up if you don't want to break it up.

Here is an article on how and what to remove from the A/C system. http://www.fordfestiva.com/forums/showthread.php?t=429Last edited by 25Horseplay; 09-20-2008, 10:50 PM.

Not sure why the rear wiper does that, someone else had asked about it before, but it would automatically stop in that position when I used it. Sometimes it would stop wherever it wanted...
I took all the guts for the wiper (motor, wiper arm, squirt bottle) but there's one plastic piece that broke. I guess that's a discount...
Bigwheel, someone already has their eyes on my clear turn signals, but I've still got the original orange signals and the corner lights.
As for struts, springs, mounts...like I said I won't be getting there for a while because wheels and suspension will be nearly last to be taken off.
Also got off both passenger side windows...somehow they didn't break.
Tomorrow I'll be heading back to Baton Rouge, and I'll list everything I've got with me at a later time.

How did you get your rear wiper arm to be in the down position like that ? Still interested in the clear frt bumper lenses.

Let me know what you want for the rear wiper assembly and the front signals/hazard lights. I hate this for you Joe, it was a great looking car.

I thought it was going to be longer till you tore this apart, yeah it looked like a really clean festiva, very sad. Let me know about the struts, springs, and mounts when you get them out. :-)

whew just took out the cluster, too.
when you say A/C system, what all needs to come out?
compressor.......idler pulley/mount....the control panel with A/C button (orange)
condensor, evap, dryer....hoses duh.....
i pretty sure the rest is already in a non-A/C festy, right?
oh and the turn signal switch has orange letters in good shape. pictures soon.

I still want the wheels (I know I'm second in line), and I'd like the cluster, if no one else has dibs.

If you look in the middle of the picture, there's a triangular bracket coming of the engine. That's the compressor idler. Farther down you can see the compressor. Not much of a point behind the picture...just showing that it had A/C
And yah, I thought about that, but the way the sides are sort of rippled and nothing lines up....I wouldn't trust it.
That second pic makes me want to turn it into a mud-track racer!
Plus I couldn't get the engine to turn over. sucks, I wanted to play around. something shorted and killed the battery too....

ok, so i guess i don't know what I'm looking at; is the engine mount bent or?
Also, did you consider just chopping the top off and making it a convertible, or was there too much structural damage?
