Nice pics Jeff, we tried starting an informal monthly off topic photo thread but it didnt last too long. There sure is some beautiful country up your way. I looked throught the rest of your pics in your signiture. Looked like some FFC calendar shots in there. Very nice !

I've done that a couple of times. And it seems like that's when I needed to have my camera the most.

No.

Perfect example. Two weekends ago, I was hiking on the mountain behind my house. Walked to with 25 yards of a mother Black Bear and her cub. Watched them for 10 or 15 minutes or so, and walked back the way I had came. Don't think they ever knew I was there. And where's my camera? Sitting at the house, next to the door, where I laid it right before I walked out.

I have a Sony A100. Photography is just a hobby with me. I'm always learning new things. I must have taken 200 photos and only 10 were worth keeping. And I too, often don't have my camera when I need it.
