Wiper Arm


Removal

1. Lift the wiper arm nut cover and remove the wiper arm nut.
 

2. Carefully pry on the wiper arm to disengage it from the tapered splines on the motor shaft and remove the wiper arm.


Installation

1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

NOTE:
The on/off cycling of the wiper motor will position the wiper arm shaft in the park position.

2. Position the liftgate wiper switch to the on position, allow it to cycle several times and then turn it off.

3. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.

4. Install the wiper arm on the motor shaft.

5. Adjust the wiper arm on the motor shaft so that the tip of the wiper blade is 80mm (3.14 inches) from the edge of the liftgate window seal.

6. Install the wiper arm nut. Tighten the wiper arm nut to 5-9.5 N-m (4-7 lb-ft) and install the wiper arm nut cover.
