DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION

The liftgate wiper is driven by a single speed electric motor mounted in the liftgate. The switch is located in the lower right hand corner of the instrument cluster bezel.

The wiper motor circuit begins at a 15 amp fuse which receives battery voltage when the ignition switch is in the ON position. Rather than going to the switch, the feed wire from the fuse goes directly to the wiper motor. The return wire connects the wiper motor to the switch. In the ON position, the switch and return wire provide a path to ground for the wiper motor circuit.
