DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION

The windshield and lift Gate washer systems each consist of:

l washer reservoir

l washer pump

l washer nozzle

l washer hose

The switch for operating either washer is an integral part of the windshield or lift gate wiper switch. When the wiper handle is pulled toward the steering wheel, washer fluid is sprayed on the windshield. When it is released, spring pressure will return the handle to the off position.

The lift gate washer is installed only with the optional lift gate wiper. The washer feature is operated by pressing the lower half of the lift gate wiper switch.

The front windshield washer reservoir is mounted in the left front corner of the engine compartment. The lift gate washer reservoir is mounted to a body panel behind the right rear quarter panel. A washer pump is mounted on each washer reservoir.
