Floor Console

The floor console consists of two separate components: the shift console and the parking brake console. The shift console contains the shift lever boot and a small package tray. The parking brake console conceals the mechanism used to apply the parking brakes. The parking brake console also contains the rear seat ashtray. Brackets, attached to the floorpan, provide mounting points for both consoles. The front of the shift console is also attached to a bracket that is mounted on the instrument panel. With the exception of the parking brake console body brackets, all attachment points are secured with screws.
