  • OHIOSTIVA VI FALL FLING PLANNER

It's mid August and it's getting about that time, folks. I talked with DaveG today and he brought up the next meet.

Let's hear it for Fall Fling ideas on when, what and where.

We usually keep this one more simple than the Spring meet, and hold it at Summit lot, but last year we picnicked at a local park. However, change could be good!

Let's hash out some ideas. We've got from 1.5 to 2 months.

    Karl
'93GL "Prettystiva" ticking B3 and 5 speed, backup DD; full swaps in spring!
    '91L "AquaMutt" my '91L; B6 swap/5 speed & Aspire brakes, DD/work car
'92L "Twinstiva" 5sp, salvage titled, waiting for repairs...
    '93GL "Luxstiva," '94 B6 engine & ATX; needs overhauled
'89L "Muttstiva," now a storage bin, future trailer project

i really like doing the convoys, so meeting at summit and driving to a local park again sounds good to me, either way though i'll be there

    1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
    1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

Autocross meet? I like you guys and all, but I wouldn't be interested if there isn't some sort of racing, or competition or something with the Festys... I only have so many weekends a year, and they are reserved for adrenaline... I am a junky, and have to be doing something. Driving and sitting don't cut it..

If we could meet in Dayton ( I know, I know, it's further south than usual)

We could show up at my Autox clubs last points event in October and shock the crap out of them with 5-10 Festivas entering, and the rest cheering!!!!
Have had 6 Festys... and counting...

That would be coold Qauddawg :-) And October sounds good, as long as it is not too cold. I am not going to voice to much opinion on this because unless I get the mysterious falling out axle situation fixed I am not taking any trips this year. Everytime I think it is back in all the way I will start driving and it comes out when ever it feels like is, just far enough to strand me on the road.

But I like what we did last year with the summit meet, then off to the park. Maybe we can get summit to let us do a AutoX in their parking lot :-)

I know all you boys hate coming Sout of the boarder but lets give it a try. My motor is almost done I am planning on doing the last couple autocross events at my local club. There are two events in september to choose from. We could all at the boarder in gan and then its a very very lovely drive from there to the track plus you would go down town for some cruising on the way

Maximun where? We have the Ohiostiva meet in Ohio/Pennsylvania boarder because it is most convient for the most people who are likely to actually show up at a meet. It is not convienient for me, but I am never a for sure :-) Please do not make this meet on October 20th because it is my sisters wedding!!!!!!!

How about the second weekend in October? Anyone for a POLL

Well, I'm thinking October 6th or 13th. Them be Saturdays, and earlier in the month should be more likely to be warmer.

I have two races I have to do, one in late Sept, and one at the end of Oct. I have to make both to be eligible for year end trophies...

any other weekend, I could come IF WE ARE RACING, if we are not racing, I will pass... lol... no offense guys... I just need adrenaline on the weekends... I am a junky.

Now, if yall wanna come to Dayton, and blow them away with 5-10 Festys entering the autocross, that would be Sept 30th or Oct 21st. Both on Sunday
