So what do you think Freshtive, warlocke, any one else in this region I'm open for suggestions but definately what to make this happen!

I think we should aim for Iowa....I'm willing to drive there, maybe we can draw some people down from the dakotas, minnisota, etc

Ive talked to Levitan and kingfish20031982 about this already. Im game to whatever we can work out. We've got ericsmith, warlocke, freshtiva, levitan, kingfish, windjammer, juryrigger, todd00, cappyg, festivawes, miamiman, that I can think of in the Kansas Missouri, Iowa area, plus I know some people not on the site that I could contact. There are guys in Liberty, Weston, and Platte City that I know of who have more than one festiva. Minilee too if I could track him down. I think we should shoot for the largest meet of the day. We could do it. I'll start sending come PMs right now.

i would love to, iowa is a little far for me right now tho. gas money and time is the main reason.

if we could get one not to far from the kc area i could hopefully meet up.

sadly the taurus doesnt get as good as mileage as the egg did.

                      about 10mpg less.

i will keep updated on this thread tho.

This all stemmed from your 4/13 thread warlocke. You need to loosen that Taurus up a little anyway. Come on............ You can draft off my festiva to save you some gas money, if you can keep up. Remember that time I went and looked at that mustang for you. Come on........ You'd have a great time. Think of it as a mini getaway. Check your avatar

Well after consulting with Freshtiva, I'm going to throw my 2 cents in the hat and open the location forum for debate. For starts, I live in Des Moines, born and bred! I think it would great if everybody came to my town. But I gotta be honest, what are we going to do, watch the corn grow....then watch some paint dry? So with that, my nomination for the "DJ Memorial Meet, Midwest" is Dubuque, Iowa. Located in northeast Iowa, on the Mississippi River, it would be a cool place to meet. It has 44 parks, casinos, and what they call the Great River Road Scenic Drive. Google it, Google Image it. There's a cool trolley to ride(if the season is open for it), the Field of Dreams(from the Kevin Cosner flick) is 25 miles away. The roads would be cool to go cruising along the Mississippi. The whole Dubuque scene is very photographic, photogenic, ....uh, a cool place to take pictures!!! 200 miles from Chicago, 300 from St. Louis, 250 from Minneapolis, 375 from K.C., 150 from Milwaukee.

There you have it. That is my choice, but I am there, where ever there is!! Can't wait to meet you guys/gals!! I think where ever there is, it'll be a good time!!!
