  • DJ Memorial Meet, Ontario

let's have the meeting point at Canadian Tire in Woodstock, it's close to the highway for those who are farther away and there's enough food places nearby to grab something to eat/hang out etc.

here the link for the address for Canadian Tire

Wasn't there a problen trying to cross the Canadian border with a US Festiva?
My friend that works for Ford tryed to cross into Canada with his Festiva and couldn't.
He had to go Detroit and rent a car to get across.
Just wondering you're only 430mi from me.

I know theres the passport issue starting soon. But never heard of any trouble with crossing driving a Festiva.

Think if you have your passport and licence and proof of auto insurance (off chance they ask for but better to be prepared) you should be fine!

i've been watching the "passport to cross the border" thing cause i seem to cross into the US a lot

they say right now they accept like thousands of different type of ID's and after the new rules take effect they'll only accept like a dozen different types of ID's, drivers license and birth certificate together are sufficient to cross into the US, these rules do not apply to crossing into Canada

as far as driving accross, if your an American driving an American car your fine to cross the border (especially if it's your own car) now if your a Canadian driving an American car tryin to cross into Canada they won't let you cross (i found this out the hard way, right Brian :lol and vise versa, an American can't drive a Canadian car into the US, i think it has something to do with if a Canadian brings an American car into Canada (a personal vehicle at least, rentals are different) whats the garentee the American vehicle will get back to America

Okay so who is comming to the meet? I am trying to convince 93festiva93 to carvan up with me but not sure if he is. If we come up by our selves I may spend saturday night at the Falls since its me and the wifes favorit place to visit. How far of a drive from Niagra Falls is it to Woodstock anyways?

From what I understand, this year if you drive across you don't need a passport untill 2009. If you fly across it is required now.

you don't "need" a passport as long as you have government issued photo ID crossing will be fine

from Niagara to Woodstock it's about 2 hours but Logan if the only people coming are from Niagara way i might as well meet you guys out that way

Looks like its just me and chris hanging out on the 13th. Looks like I get to check out his (Fred's) B6T car all by my self. Anyone is welcome to come along if they want. You do not need your passport to get into canada. We are probably just going to get together grab a bit to eat and hang out for a few hours. Anyone is welcome as always.
