  • OHIOSTIVA VII: THIS SPRING'S FLING Planning thread

Well, I'm a little late, but better late than never.

We usually have the Spring Fling in May.

We've had it at Moraine State Park in eastern PA several times and it has always gone well.

    START TALKING ABOUT IDEAS!!

Keep in mind when we will be having the FESTIVAL.

    Start talking, people!!

I vote for sometime mid to late may, because i'm done w/ school on may 9th, so anytime after that is good!!

          I can't wait

Also, I like the park we were at last year, but new places are nice sometimes too, so I'll leave that up to people who live closer and know the area better.

I'll try and make it if the date is right. My college graduation is May 10, and I was planning on taking a couple weeks off after anyway, so as long as it ain't too far from Wilmore, I can probably make it. I vote Eastern Ohio/Western Pennsylvainia/West Virginia Panhandle. I'll be in Steubenville for a funeral around that time anyway.

nononono....there is no voting on where it is at other then maybe a final destination. We always meet at Summit Auto Racing first...in Ohio and then travel to the park or whatnot for the picnic portion.....

Please forgive my impetuousness. I'll try my best to make it there.

I remember last Ohiostiva when that truck almost took the back end of my Festiva off trying to leave Summit... Any closer and he would've been inside the car!

I remember the several miles of parking lot traffic when my car wouldn't idle, showing up at John's at 2:30am, the bad tank of gas i got on my way up there that caused me to have to bounce the car off the rev limiter just to make it up some hills in WV, the B6 festy that was running so rich we had to stop and get gas, and then we got lost and found that other festy who didn't know about the meet but knew where we were going and led us there, and of course the Smart car!

man it was a good time, i can only hope this springs is just as much fun as last springs

Haaaa...I remember getting stuck on the speed bump at Summit and ripping off my exhaust. Laying in the parking lot and using coat hangers to try and tie up the exhaust. The traffic jam on the way to the park. My exhaust falling back down and scraping all the way to the park...and then all the way home after the day was done.....ahhhhhh the good times!
