Hey guys, Had a great time yesterday!
What a great turnout!
It was good to meet Nate and see his car in person, glad you came.
And to see a couple of guys I met at Ohiostiva last year, John and Jim.
I think John (Pu241) should get the longest distance award. Wait, I think he did, most of the parts car went home with him.
I have to say Jim (FB71) realy knows his Festivas. And John and Nate realy know how to dismantle a Festiva

I loved watching the expression on peoples faces as we were driving in the convoy.
"Have we been invaded by little cars from Mars?"

Oh the humanity they were on the poor Festi like a pack of hyenas on a wounded buffalo! It was great fun and don't think I wasn't involved in the slaughter.

Was great to see you Friday night at your pizza restaurant along with others that were here for the meet.

The take home pizza was also a big help for other Festiva out of town guess.

13 hours and 40 min ,just shy of 900 miles one way for me , WOW , I would have to take like a week off ..LOL

Yes that would be a long drive. I did a few of them rides back in the days attending vanning meets around the country.

Sometimes when I plan a week long vacation. I will see if there is a meet in a area where I will be headed. May even catch it going out or heading back.


I would think maybe with all the Festivas all over the country having a lot of local mini meets would be great. Get that core group going. Looks like that is what we have now.


I would attend a meet south of me in a flash if the Festiva owners can get it together.


The wife, myself and one other from here went to the Ohio meet this year. That was the first out of town Festiva meet for us. All told we did a little over 1500 miles there and back. That is about all we would wish to travel over a weekend.

Our plans next year are to drive both our cars to the Ohio Meet and are inviting any other local Festiva owners here to convoy up with us.

We may even make that trip to the Arch someday in a Festiva. Done it already in another ride.

First time posting here and do not know if I should do a quick reply or Post Reply..so forgive me if I err. I am the guy who tagged along with no Festiva. I had a BLAST yesterday and can hardly wait till next year. I was going to go to the fair, but I had a better time at the show. I did get to ride with Frank and his daughter in his yellow Festiva. That was fun, made me miss the four I have owned. The event was very well planned and executed. At least I have the pics to remember it by. Next time I will participate in the dismantling process, all I did was help carry the liftgate off the parts car. What a nice group of people who own Festivas!

Thanks Dean, I am not the most mechanically inclined person around and I need one in the shape mine were in...all were all original and in very nice shape, Franks yellow one would be perfect hint hint Seriously, I often wondered if I was the only one who liked them...my mom said they saw one in Georgia and she told her husband "there goes a Steve Car" so they remember my love for them. When I get another one it is already named... Steve's Festivamobile.

Yes !! I think it is so awesome and important to have these get together's .

It is nice having friends that can do that and make it happen , all of our Festiva family is pretty tight knit , and is a very well behaved group .

I have met a lot of people through these meets and have became very close to these people , like a real family .

I have never seen any problems EVER at a meet , and that means a lot , and shows what kind of people we are .

I logged over 4,500 miles in 1 year , just going to meets out East and Michigan and have done that for several years now .

I love it !!

From the looks of the pictures Dean, you did a GREAT job with the meet! I really wish htchbck and I could have been there for the meet instead of being there 2 weeks ago;-( I wonder if we could pull off a meet with this type of turnout here in Georgia. Congrats on the turnout...you should be proud.
