Festiva Madness was a week ago today at the Char-Grill in Raleigh. A few of us will be over at my house working on our cars. Does anybody around here want to come meet us for lunch at Char-Grill about 1:00? Or, want to come over and hang out at the house for awhile.

Dang! If I had a car hauler, I'd drag my Festiva up.... Transmission/clutch installment still pending! I'd keep this car if I could get it fixed! But right now, it's useless to me setting broken down.

My Aspire needs to have the wheel bearings changed in the front... can I join you guys for that?

            Jeremy,

Your welcome to come up. Not sure how much time any of us can help with the bearing replacement as we are working on three other cars.

I do have the factory Aspire service manual.

              Your killing me Dean,

I'd love to be there, but I wouldn't be able to pick up your Aspire swaps (HMMMM)
Oh well back to pull a part. Tell Sam I'll see if any BPs are out there also one of the Aspires had some really nice seats that will bolt right into JLock's Stiva

Will, Jeremy... wish you could've been here today. We had a blast wrenching & painting. I was working on my bumper swap (I promise I'll post pics later on). The new bumper is from a 2000 Focus & the red matches my car quite well. I got the braces fab'd & installed & actually got the bumper installed too! Still need to cut the back of the bumper to match the radius of my wheel wells & re-install all the lights. The look that this new bumper gives the car is.... well... I guess you can judge for yourself when I get the pics posted in a couple days!!

HA! I hate I didn't go either.... I was going to suprise you guys once I got the wheel bearings done. (anyone have some dynamite?!) LOL

I tore the wheel down to the point where I had to remove the bolt to get into the wheel bearings and couldn't get it to budge. I knocked, banged and hammered on it for two hours!

Finally, I decided to check fa.com to see if there any pointers.... Turns out that the bearings will need to be pressed out then the news in. So I gave up. LOL

I put the brake caliper back on and moved onto putting my spoiler on the new trunk lid.

I finally got that done when I realized I need to bleed the brakes again after I removed the brake unit from the wheel.

Now, there's a "shoosk" noise coming from that tire well. PLEASE, SOME DYNAMITE HERE.

Well, atleast the spoiler is back on. LOL

you would have to rework the tracks for the seats to fit....they are not a direct bolt in from the Aspire....but doable.

I noticed that so I grabbed a set of Escort/Protege seat tracks like mine that I'll modify For Jlock so she can upgrade her seats. I'll have them ready when Dean comes down to pick up his Aspire swaps. The back seat looks like it's a bolt in not really sure though.

Was a great day to work on some Festivas. A few photos attached.

Barbara helped Sam remove some parts from his car. Jenn with the help of Calvin painted some of her interior parts and also replaced her tail lights with some better ones. She also painted her bumpers.

I will not post any pictures of Sam's new car look. Will leave that to him.
