^ Steve, we just got back from the second mini-meet, aka strategic planning session.
Saw your old car and it looks awesome. Doug has done some seat mods that look great. Will post up a couple pics after I get a chance to download my camera.
1992 Green GL - "It's not easy being green" - Kermit - RIP killed by a tree
1992 Aqua Funtop - Belle
Wife of V8Festiva.
We had a GREAT mini-meet tonite with lots of laughs and fun and everyone is totally stoked for Madness 3 next weekend! Eight people showed up and we had 2 Aspires and 5 Festivas.
Doug had installed some really KOOL seats from a VW Toureg and had to fab some custom brackets to make 'em fit. Awesome job, Doug!
I have to say that the Madness Award has to go to jermnc77 in getting his Britstiva to the mini-meet. He was having serious problems keeping the car running so he definitely did some "out of the box" thinking. He strapped his car to a tow dolly & towed it the 45 miles from his home, up to Raleigh so he could keep his promise on bringing it for us to see the kool Brit Union Jack paint job he did on the roof! And I quote the man: "I was going to get the car up here if I had to drag it on two wheels!"
Jeremy: I do believe you have been Born Again into the Madness, brother!
Pics to follow soon....

Reason: disconnect b/t brain & fingers
Focustiva: Because I was told it was was impossible to fit a Focus bumper on a Festiva. In memory of Dean Allen - V8 Festiva 1955-2010

I'm afraid we may be less one boosted Festiva... Dane was supposed to bring his B6t down, we've been planing on it for months... and he told me yesterday something came up he can't leave town next weekend.
We've been having some small issues w/ the B6t anyway... so it looks like I may be flying solo
at least Skeeter will be there though!! This is going to be a long week... can't wait for the weekend.

Sorry to hear that there are problems with the b6t.
Maybe Dane will get things worked out and still be able to come down even without the car.
Looks like there are 4 or more b6t cars attending.
You may talk to the others here and fix the issues with the b6t.
A couple folks on here were coming and then problems, but now are able to come.

Well, my to do list before FM3 just got a bit larger. My pass. side front wheel bearings just went from making noises only on hard corners to raising major hell all the time. Yay!!!
Something else to try and squeeze in between now and Fri. Morning. :banghead:

LOL I had a blast with you guys last night! Dean needs to put in an "Oh Shoot" (cleaned up for ff.com) handle bar in that passenger compartment. I highly suggest wearing a helmet when going for a test-drive-ride in Deans hotrod Festiva! LOL My knuckles were white from holding on so hard!
Thank you for all the compliments and motivation! I left the Festiva at gravelcrawler's house last night... we're going to rebuild the carb and see if that will fix my probs.
That video of me arriving is too funny! I wanted to bring the Festiva in and show it off so bad I couldn't stand it!
Too bad it broke down only one block from my house on the way up to the secret meet! LOL And Thank Festiva I had that tow dolly! LOL
I feel the power of Festiva running in my veins! I've got FESTIVA MADNESS!! LOL
