I think we meet at Lamberts at 1 pm, but double check with Doug to make sure. Asfar as accommodations, if we don't hear from Will soon, there will be a room at our little hideaway. $100 per night, and worth every penny in my opinion.

Yep that works for me. Deb and I will leave hopefully no later than 4PM Friday and stop in Mountian Grove roughly 12 hrs later. Catch a few Zzz and drive into Ozark.

If Will aint showin I might take up the slack. Im going to check about getting time off from work this week. I think I know what the answer will be. I argued for a week with them about taking a day off when the wife was in the hospital for surgery, still got a mark on my record for taking the day off. The only day Ive missed since I started.

Thats BS...I'd take it off! I hate companies like that. I'm coming but I won't be shelling out the hunsky a night for a room when I'm only 80 miles away.

                      • I don't mean to be the nail in the foot, but earlier (Noon straight up) would be better for us.. I know others are traveling from farther, so 1 PM still would be fine. What would be the time we'd head to Area51? We won't be able to stay for the drive-in movie..

                        • I dont think that part has been totally hammered out for Area57. The time to get to Lamberts is totally flexible for us.The Days Inn we're going to stop at is about 1 1/2 hrs from Lamberts. So it doesnt matter. As far as I can tell from looking at the Area57 website. It looks like its an all day event.

                            • We could start the Meet at any time at Lamberts. 11 or 12 noon for example. Grub at 1 pm, for example. Hang out, feasting 'til 3 pm. Then, either take a break for an hour to let folks get refreshed, or just head straight to Area 57 for 4 to 5 hours of gawking, then hit the movie around 8-8:30, or whenever it starts.

The nice thing about starting the Meet earlier than the grub time is that we can view the cars that are there at 11, let's say, and then direct our attention towards other cars as they arrive. I bet we could talk to Lamberts management to see if they would allow us to rope off, let's say, 15 parking spots, or how ever many cars are projected to show. That way, we have some kind of organization. Those of us that are arriving early can handle that task.

Several of us are heading down Friday, so many of us can hook up then for dinner. I KNOW Packrat will be down for that! He eats for 3! We can give those coming down on Friday a meeting point at a later date.

Personally, I would like to find a section of real curvy, hilly road that we could cruise on for an hour or so. 10-15 cars in a row on some sceneic road, I think, would be pretty cool.

One final tip: I highly recommend that you bring clothes for ALL seasons. Last year, it rained, was warm(I think it got warm once), and then cold and windy as the dickens.

Whoever takes the room at the ol' waterin' hole, needs to take it for, both, Friday and Saturday. As far as I knew, Will was going to swap rooms with Laura and I, so you and Alicia could use the spare bed in our room from last year. Least that's what Will said.... unless he brought a chick with him, then you were assed out. You need to hunt him down and find out what is going on, because there are several things that are dependent on knowing if he is going to show or not.

I'm still optimistic that he will show since he hasn't removed the Midwest Festiva Inc. from his signature.

Mark the owner, DID say, that the spare house MAY have rooms available where everybody shares the bathroom and kitchen, I think. I can get confirmation from Mark if you want.
