      • Reporting in that V8Festiva and Smedley have returned to home base safe and sound.

Thanks to everyone for a great time and to Paul for providing the entertainment. (Paul - be sure to let us all know when you are coming to Raleigh.) We had a great time meeting more Festiva owners and checking out their cars.

Thanks to PU241 for putting up the Festiva Madness group along with everyone else who crashed there. We sure are glad you have a lot of floor space! You are an awesome host.

Will put up some of our pics tomorrow after we get them downloaded off the cameras.

                • I was being really good! I tried not to go over 5 over or so the whole way, I was passing tons of cops too... but I came over the top of the hill, going down the other side and was trying to find my paper with how much further I had to go on the rd not realy paying attn, I saw a cop coming the other way and looked @ my speedo I was going around 62, no biggie (55 zone), backed off a little anyway... he turns around I'm thinking no way is he going to pull me. The stupid little sherif said I was going 70!!! I'm so pissed. I would go to court and fight it, but its over 2.5hrs away... This is killing me!

                      • This year's Ohiostiva was the first I've ever attended and, after meeting so many fine people, I am even further convinced that Festy People are the BEST! Some of you may have read my post before the meet about needing a place to stay...Smedley and V8Festiva sent me a PM that evening that not only welcomed me into the Madness crowd, but also broke my trip into two safer sections by offering me a mid-point stop-over. They opened their doors to a total stranger simply because of his love of Festivas and his need.
Shortly after, I heard from Pu241 that there was certainly a space in his home for a fellow Festy Person in need of a crashing post...
While I was on the way to the Meet, Motoxpress and his lovely wife invited me to stay at their home on my way back to Georgia...

All of these wonderful folks went out of their way to make me feel like I was family and I will not forget their kindness...

All of that was above and beyond the great time I had meeting so many people who love their Festys as much or more than I do...my PEEPS!!!

Aside from Commander John who had the #1 car, all the numbers were our Madness convoy from North Carolina (GA and VA too). It was a way to identify to traffic that we were a group and besides it was fun. You may also notice a Festiva decal on the cars that say Area 241. Those were our destination stickers in honor of PU241 who let us crash at his place.
