  • OHIOSTIVA Raffle Thread

Okay, it cost my out of state butt $94.00 to reserve the Windy Knob pavilion at Moraine State Park for our dining experience.

I'd like to get $90.00 of that back, the rest being my contribution. We should have around 20 folks show up, so the cost for each should be under five bucks each.

I have raffle tickets I bought last year. If everyone buys at least three to four of them at one dollar each, my costs are almost met. There have always been extra tickets sold at one dollar each to cover my costs. The extra money (usually thirty to forty dollars, IIRC) is then raffled off at the end.

I propose everyone promise to buy at least three tickets for a HUGE TOTAL PER PERSON of $3.00. The rest can be made up from buyers of extra tickets.

I'll be bringing something to raffle. Maybe two things. We need others to bring some more things to raffle for a total of ten or more "things." Mostly Festiva related, but they don't have to be.

This has worked well in the past several years, but if there are any other ideas, please present them!

Do I have a second and a third on this motion?

Or rather, are there any objections?

      That works for me.

They can serve as "console-ation prizes."

I'll see what I've got down in the basement... I'm not sure there is anything that would be worth raffling off, but I'll check and let you know.

The only things I have left are a set of inner tie-rod ends. They are now for raffle if you want 'em.

I'm sure I have a bunch of stuff to raffle. I'm going to be moving and can't take it all with me. The rest of the stuff i'll try to sell or swap with people. Also, if there is any money left over how about donating it back to the site? Just a suggestion.
