    winter meet

Back to the idea of a winter meet, though it looks grim because apparently the grumpier fellows don't come out of their houses until spring. It would be cool to have a snow course set up in a parking lot and race them like they do in Canada. There is enough abandoned buisinesses in Ohio to find somewhere to do it.

John, helpful and supportive are not the first two words that come to mind, but they are not all the way at the bottom of the list, either.

Dumb thieves go to prison, smart ones go to work for the Government.

      1988 L - 232K miles Batstiva
      1989 L - 247K miles Slick
      1990 L - 281K miles Orphan Annie
      Let the hoarding begin!!

Looking forward to seeing you in May.
Don't bother to "forgive me", I don't need it, and besides I'm likely to "offend" you again before too long.:evil2:
Hey, if your so adamant about getting my permission for a winter meet, you have it!
Actually, I hadn't realized I had such power.

If your really wanting a winter meet, "freeze your ball joints off" is this Sunday, Jan 17th.
And why the sudden interest in a meet?
You've been registered since Aug of 2006 and now decide to post in a 3 month old "dead" thread.
There have been numerous meets in that time and you've show no inclination to go or have your own.
        Be that as it may.
If your interested in a winter meet, setup your own.
Even the "grumpier fellows" will come out if you plan it and keep the thread alive.
Open a new thread, this one is dead, beside you and I trading "compliments" that is.
A new thread can help you judge interest in a meet, or what the best time and location would be.
You could even have it coincide with an existing meet such as the DJ memorial meet, or not.
I did try to have a number of local meets on the same day to remember DJ, we actually had two simultaneously, but that is as far as it went.
        It's all up to you.
I will say Festiva owners require little in terms of setup.
We can bring most/all that we need for a meet.
Basically, you just need a time and a place.
For a winter meet, you'll also need a sheltered location(or a rare nice day) and perhaps a place to acquire or prepare food.
Other than that Festiva owners pretty much require very little to have a good time.

          Batstiva,
          I'm hurt!
You know how very sensitive I'm.
I'm surprised that they are even on the list to tell you the truth.

                Personel inventory

Thanks again PUncsatony for the constructive critism, I am going to spend some time taking my own personal inventory and figure out how I can become a better friend. I didn't read your whole essay, but I am going to assume that there was an apology in there for being crass, and I forgive you. BFF's again? If you are not from Ohio and are wondering why two immature people don't grow up, it is because seasonal depression is rampant in the " Snow Whole Heart of it All'. And I did show up to the last Ohiostiva, the first car there was a dark green festy with stuff in it, and a multi-colored blue one. You'll be in my thoughts and heart 4 ever.
P.S. Regardless of your disapointment for me as your Festiva Buddy, you should change your name, at least until Groundhog Day, to PU-nksatony, it is awesome.

If you are planning a winter 'NEAR COLUMBUS OHIO' event, it would be badass to have a snow course. Also, as a suggestion only, have the meeting place somewhere where there is something to do, while we wait for the crew to arrive, last time I spent 2.5 hrs. looking at flame retardent race suits, nitrous valves, and push bars for fmy redneck uncles ull size pick-up in a long lost rust belt town, and I would happily do it again because any festiva event is good event.

totally off topic: just got through a business meeting last week - isn't inventory BAD?

Don't waste your time, nothing I have to say is worth getting introspective and "deep" over.

Now come on "essay" it was not!
I read, and quoted most of yours.
                    Now I'm hurt!
Bad assumption about the apology there.
                    Should have read it all.
There may actually be some useful info in there somewhere.
Once again, your forgiveness is not necessary, I probably wont lose any sleep over it.

Hey, that's your excuse, don't lump me into that diagnosis.
I'm not within 500 miles of Ohio as I write this.
I'm just naturally ill-mannered and antisocial.

                    So I missed you!
Let me see if I can find some pics.
Maybe you remember me; the tall, slim, good looking guy in the aqua festiva.
Got to have a pic here somewhere.
Yeah, I have that effect on people!

No disappointment here, but I find someone using the on-line handle "breedlove" suggesting I change mine somewhat humorous.
I was thinking you need shorten yours to "inbred".

Hey, had you mentioned your route to the meet, you could have joined us for breakfast and shaved an hour or more off your wait time.
Given your drive, I assumed you left the day before, you could have crashed at my place along with a few of the hard core festiva members here.
As far as something to do, I'm generally too involved with everyone there and thoughs arriving to spend much time needing something to do.
Though, I could spend considerable time in Summit, if it wasn't for the festiva meet.
I think that has something to do with my "crabby and crass" attitude along with my generally antisocial behavior.

I am starting to think you're trying to hurt my feelings. Also, Use sound a lot like a preacher, for someone so dis-infranchised from the rest of society. I especially like your evil bump guote, you own a lot of black t-shirts don't you? Winger, maybe.

And I don't think that hurt me as much as being called a preacher.

                          No black t-shirts!
Oh, maybe one, but it has a WiFi detector built in to it!
                          Winger??
Reference please, I'm too lazy to check goggle.

                                Festiva Hearse

I don't know if the "son of Satan" would drive a Festiva, unless it was stretched into a hearse. Which would look pretty awesome.
