Lane, don't count on me begging you to show up.
If you can't motivate yourself to drive 160 miles to FMIII, I have little expectation that you'll drive that far for a mini-meet.

Thanks for the kind words. Sorry I've had car trouble in the past

                Don't be sorry, fix it!
                It's called maintanence.

Well I had only finished putting the car together like 2 days before the meet and didn't have time to realize I needed a new water pump. I had also never done a water pump, didn't have access to my mom's garage, and had to work until the day before the meet. Trust me, I wanted to be there. I'm working now on doing this "maintenance" so I'll be able to make it to the sunshine meet

I hope so, 1200 miles round trip on a vehicle that hasn't been properly cared for is a risk I wouldn't take.
You be in a convoy, so you'd make it to the meet, but the recovery of the car would wait for the return trip.

That's taken care of now. As long as he has the money for parts I have the facility and the skills. We performed a good bit of maintEnAnce today.

Exactly! That's the main reason I haven't made it to other meets. Of course on the way back from Zanzer's house tonight I had some trouble. Looks like a blown head gasket!!

                            Mr. Cochran:

I am part of a local car club named Carolina Festiva. I'm trying to arrange a meet on April 10, and I was wondering if you allowed local drivers to use your track. Thank you for your time.

                            Sincerely,
                            Dustin Short

The track/fairgrounds are available for rental. Give us a call.
                            thank you,

...Who knows! Maybe a track meet? I'm going to see how insanely high it is to rent a B-class raceway for a day.

Ok! The place I was going to use has informed me that due to previous liability issues, "NO!" So, the search is on. I'll keep everyone updated. I'm still working on getting in touch with the track management.
