Just realized gestiva wasn't on the convoy list. And, I'm putting Sparky on there too. I'm working on a meet point near Savannah and timing to meet you guys.

Official Madness Convoy to Florida T-shirt size needed

If you are going to convoy down to Florida with the Madness group there will be an official Madness Convoy to the Florida meet t-shirt. PM your size needed and pick up when meeting the convoy T-shirt is free.

Will be doing pre-trip preparations such as wheel bearings, axle inspection, replacement if needed over the next few weekends. All are welcome to attend a work on your Festiva weekend.

Don't be afraid to do a road trip.
If you have done the needed maintenance require your car should have no problems.

i will attend in October but will need to meet up with some one i do have a gps so yeah really interested but car is still not ready yet

What to do?

I am needing to pick up a Festiva in Jacksonville Florida that is not running and transport it back to Raleigh.

I could drive the Diesel truck with trailer down as far as Jacksonville with the B P powered car on the back. Unload the B P car to drive the rest of the way to the meet and then drive it back to Jacksonville. Then from there transport the Aqua Festiva back to Raleigh on the car trailer.

Problem is that I would need a person to drive the B P powered Festiva back to Raleigh from Jacksonville with the convoy.

May could wait till first of April and just go pick up the car?

Is there anyone else planning on coming down the I-95 corridor who wants to try to meet up with us on Thursday?
Is everyone on the list, still in the same status?
Anyone coming down on Friday who wants to start a Friday convoy?

If you haven't emailed me or V8Festiva about staying here Wednesday night, please let us know for sure so we can plan space. And, if you are bringing someone, we need to know that too. May need some sleeping bags/air matresses.

Looks like we will make several stops to pick folks up on the way down. I'm trying to figure out timing, but need to meet KR2AM and Britstiva somewhere down I-40 and I-95.
I'm also working on a meeting point near Savannah for bebandit, gestiva, and maybe Sparky---if he's coming for sure.
May be another one or two stops for folks too.

Ok, time for me to get serious about planning my drive down. I will be leaving home (Salisbury, MD) wednesday night. I'll be getting on I95 in Emporia VA. Looks like it will take me 7 hours to get to the area of Benson NC (about where I40 kicks into I95). So I will be floating around looking for a herd of festivas thursday morning. What is everyones final/close to final plan on meeting when and where? Is anyone getting on 95 north of Benson?

We tenatively plan on leaving our place in Raleigh about 7:30. Gotta stop on I-40 south of Raleigh to meet one person/gas/coffee/etc and then stop around Fayetteville on I-95 for another. I figure we should hit I-95 around 8:30.

What time are you heading out from home? We could meet you around Benson or on down around Fayetteville. I haven't planned a time/exit for that meet up yet.

You are welcome to come in Wed night and crash at our house. Several others are. It may be sleeping bags on the floor depending on how many are going to be here. Sending PM.

Plan is to convoy with the b6t

Looks like I won't need to take the car trailer down and pick up the Festiva in Jacksonville, Fl

Working on another plan for pick up.

Today I took the b6t out for a drive.

It has been parked since the Madness meet last Oct.

Got it out on the interstate and ran it at 70 plus for about one hour.

No problems.


Installing the body kit, hood, race seats, and some other items.

If it runs out with no problems over the next week, it will be driven down to Florida instead of the B P car.

I need to work wednesday and I have my daughter wednesday evening so I cant be there wednesday night. From my mapquesting it looks like you will be getting on 95 from 40 at exit 328a, just north of benson. I could lie in wait and look for festivas in that area thurs morning haha. I can join up anywhere between your 95 junction and fayetteville since you will be stopping there anyway. If you plan on getting to 95 by 8:30 then I can leave home in time to be in the area by 8. As far as communication, I'm about to order a cb so if anyone else has one I can keep in touch. I also think this is a good opportunity to start a new list to help keep in touch during meet up and convoy... If this is stupid and too much just say so, i can't help being anxious about this lol.
