Back in 2004 I drove my first stock festiva from maryland to key west. 2 years later took it with the b3t to palm beach. Our cars are fine as long as you have safe tires and your rear wheel bearings are good. Imagine all the miles you log doing everyday running around.

Can you drive over here to Raleigh one weekend soon.

That would be a good shake down to find any problems.

I have a car trailer attached to my truck should while on the way here if there are any problems.

Once here stay the weekend if you like and we will jack your car up, check bearings etc.

Have a very good supply of stock used parts if needed.

When we do travel down to Florida there will be a good number of us to help each other if needed. Have lots of spare parts along with tools when the group travels.

      You will make it man!!!!

Your Festiva brother and sisters will always help.

Weekends are kinda hard for me to get off. I'm taking the last weekend of this month off to meet up with member Zanzer on here. He's gonna be helping me put on my exhaust and weld up the huge hole in my spare tire well. He's only an hour away, but it'll still be a small test for the car. I don't have anything going on with the car that I think will be a problem other than the fact that I need new tires and I have a strut leaking. I'll definitely have new tires before florida, and hopefully new struts too.

                    Lane come join the convoy.

Are they any problems with your car now?

Oil leaks? leaking water? Clutch is it good?

If not take that car of yours out on the interstate near your home and run if around the city at 65 for one hour flat out.

If it over heats or has issues you should know then.

If it runs out fine, great.

Have you replace all your wheel bearings.

Do this if you have not.

Don't wait for them to go bad.

Wheel bearings in the wife's car and my car will be replaced in the next couple weeks.

Her bearings were replaced last year and have three long distance trips on them already along with several in state trips and everyday to and from work.

                    No problems.

But like I said they will be replaced before problems can start.

So Lane Let's Roll with the convoy

No problems that I know of. Bearings haven't been replaced...I've never done them and don't have a press. I think I should be good to go, but I'll take it for a long drive like you recommend and see how it goes

                        Lane,

You said you work weekends so hard to get to Raleigh.

If you can get here to Raleigh during the week, let me know and I will put in for a day off and help you replace your bearings.

Have press and all tools needed.

That would be a good check out your car coming here and then we will know your bearings are up for the Florida convoy.

Could also have the truck and trailer standing by should you have problems on the way.

Willing to help you make it to Florida with the group.

Got to get the Aspire swaps, Festiva parts etc before they are crushed.

Make it a weekend and go with us also to the 40 bucks all you can get.

Do you have a Aspire swap yet?

That would be awesome if I didn't already have my aspire swap! Can't think of any other big things I need besides maybe a b8....think I can strap one to my back? I'd sure give it a try!!! If you can get a group together to go just let me know. I'll do my best to get off work. Heck, I'd call out sick if it meant getting a b8 for $40!
