As much as I'd like to argue with Mech_dj, he is right, we get there well past lunch every-time!
With a 90 min drive from Summit to Moraine State Park we need to target leaving Summit At 11AM.
Just means I will adjust the fleet launch profile from Area 241 to be earlier, so we arrive at Summit with plenty of time to socialize/shop/part exchange/etc.
Karl, I will advise intercept of geographical and temporal coordinates.

        • I think changing the leave time at the last minute like we are attempting to do may mess up a few peoples schedule that are traveling from far away. I agree leaving early would get us to the park at a better time and maybe we should shoot for that next time around. Maybe try leaving a little earlier this time but maybe 11 and us announcing it now may not work out for the majority.....just some rambling thoughts....maybe we can get everyone that is traveling to speak up soon here and make sure we are doing the right thing.

Agreed, that could be an issue.
We could also leave in waves; one at 11AM another at 12 noon!
Those traveling long distances, where this change might make a difference can shoot for the later time, or whatever time is convenient for them.
Just so long as they have directions to the park.

that could work too....but the CONVOY is part of the fun....and all the cars together makes that even better.

              • To leave summit at 11 would mean we (us folks from the Toledo area) would have to leave big_ty's by 7 or so to make sure we get down there and have a few minutes to stretch and pee and such things. I'd like at least 30 to 60 minutes at summit to get my bearings straight and my bladder empty. Basically everyone would have to be up at the smiling buttcrack of dawn here to be to ty's at 6-630. He promised sammiches lol.

I think noon would be a more realistic goal for a summit departure.

I also vote for a single festy swarm.

Agreed, but unless someone keeps tight control of the formation we end-up spread across 3+ miles in multiple groups anyway.

Just so you understand that lunch will then be near 2PM.
And for those who have been on the road long before "the smiling buttcrack of dawn" might want nourishment a little earlier.

In any case, I will instruct my fleet to have rations available to hold them over.

                  • Well I say we split it down the middle this time around and shoot for an 11:30 departure. Then in upcoming meets we will set up times better instead of just saying noonish.

So I think if need be...I will keep a watch on the time and keep things moving along...if that is ok....

Karl....PLEASE try to be on time.....lol

                    • I think everyone should eat a good breakfast and then pack and sandwich in case they get hungry while driving. Have everyone who is meeting at Summit leave by 11:30 and the people who are meeting at the park (me) be there at 1:30! Problem solved!!
