Sunshine Meet Cancelled

Thanks guys for your understanding. The cancellation of this meet is for multiple reasons. The N.C. crew needs time to heal, as do we all. I WILL host a meet and it WILL be in memory of Dean. He's the one that talked me into committing to this meet. We were sitting in his garage, last Oct. and watching 5 people work on 1 car (to fix the lights). Laughing at the situation, and he said "heck host a meet down there in Florida and I'll be there" It was then that I decided to host a meet. I know he would want it to go on, but I also know he would understand if he was here.

I want it to be good timing and would love for Barb to be able to come. It's gonna be hard to get the big #s without him. He was the "ultimate" festiva salesman.

Unfourtunatley I won't be able to make it up to N.C.

I will try and come up with some ideas for a new date and meet, etc...

maybe after june 12th so i can come and not worry about missing school

I know there are alot of FL guys on here and im sure we could still hold a track night or maybe cruise Daytona on saturday since its spring break. Even if we only have 5 festiva's, it will still be fun.

I was just told about you calling and jumped on here to check it out. I'm behind you on your decision with this. Dean was a HUGE part of the community here and it would've just been bad timing. Send me a PM if you want to do some sort of memorial sticker or something (or anyone else that has any ideas like this). Something for donation or whatever. He'll definitely be missed.

greg , we will be recording the service for those of you who are unable to make it .I'll be putting a memorial video together I'll let you know when its done and send you guys all one . I know how it is dean is the one who got me started on the 4th stivia meet .. its going to be hard to have it and him not be here ....
