  • Toledo area members going to OSX

We should try to organize a little convoy.

    So who all is going?

anyone else? bp_festiva? mattdickmeyer? Out of that list big_ty is the furthest east so we should rally at his place before heading out. I would say we need to be on our way by 8am.

One thing, I *really* dont wanna use the turnpike, the tolls are ridiculous these days. Especially in a festiva. About $15 round trip for each car with the route I got. If you pick 'avoid tolls' on google maps it has you follow 20 down through Norwalk, which is probably a little slower but still a fairly logical route, and will save a lot on money (important for me right now lol). Its probably a 55mph road the whole way but I dont think it would be too bad.

Another alternative is to follow 2 along the lake, which opens up into a 65mph interstate. This adds a good bit of miles though.

What people farther west are not invited to your caravan???? Fine I'll start my own.

We are planning on going east via US Rt6 or US Rt30. Looks like findlay would eb a nice meet up point if you are interested.

Findlay is a good bit out of the way here. I'm thinking anyone within easy access to 80/90/Ohio turnpike. I'm within 5 minutes of that.

Yeah I usually go that route but you got me to thinking that it would be nice not to pay the tolls across 2 states. When you all meeting up near 80?

Well I think we should be on our way to summit around 8am. So rally at ty's by 7-730?

I dont know his address but I have an idea of where he lives, about 5 miles off the turnpike.

Alright, so I think this route will be simplest for us then. Its a bit slower than taking the turnpike or 2, but its actually the least miles, and will save a good bit of money in the end. Nice straight shot.

Looks good to me. Lots of turns though, so we are going to have to stay on our toes a bit. No daydreaming, lol.

Well, shouldn't be too bad. Navigation shouldn't be an issue. Two android phones with Google navigation here. Donny has a Garmin or tomtom. We will get there that's for sure haha.

Why not just hop on I77 when it crosses 18 there. Summit is right off of the interstate.

                            Updated route

Should save a couple minutes not having to go thru Akron.
