Doing my part... it's relatively easy to book time off when you're self employed

We've got our passport applications all filled out, photos taken etc and I'm taking them in tomorrow afternoon. Ordered a bunch of tourism guides from a number of states and we'll probably start booking hotels in the next couple of weeks.

Starting to get excited about the trip.

    • 56 days to go!!!

I think we've pretty much finalized our route. 5500 miles, 14 days, 13 nights!

You can check out our route here.

Longest day is the first one: we'll be on the road for 14 hours. Should be able to visit Freshtiva and Gottafesty on the way home and will definitely have the FIT map bookmarked on the phone!

        • Ian, do you know what date you are leaving Calgary? Or will be at your stop in Kentucky (near Cincinnati)?

If you needed anything there, or around Huntington, WV, I could probably be in position to help out (within 2 to 3 hours travel time).

And yes, your trip is insane, in a good way!

                  • You regret getting the 195/45 there more money and when u lower your car on fms the camber will eat your fronts up. I'm at discount right now putting to new ones on the front, backs still have the nipples. $160 out the door for 2.

If I can afford to go, I'd love to meet up with other DFWers and/or pick up people along highway 20.
