    162 Visitor Center Road

    Some links to check out:http://www.nps.gov/neri/planyourvisit/crvc.htm
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_River_Gorge_Bridge

Events: Meet and Greet, Awards, Food and Drinks(let me know if you're vegetarian), drive through the canyon, Photos, and cliff diving/swimming so bring your speedo and more!!!

It would be nice to get an official RSVP so I know how much food to bring, also if anyone wants to help out on food that'd be awesome.

There is free camping about 15 miles away if you'd want to come a day early and not have to wake up at the crack of dawn. I will likely be staying there the night before.

Nothing wrong with making a weekend of it for those who can! Just under 4 hrs for me. Wouldn't mind doing some camping myself

Im down for a camp out too! sat and sun would be great. Not sure which direction is the 15 miles your talking about but if its in my direction the camp ground right down the road from my house has free camping and bathrooms. No showers tho. Camp right next to the new river! Also there is a nice sand bar for the kids if anyone is bringing them.

Look up thurmond wv and you will see. Its a historic place. Used to be a old train station.

I'm talking about right on the dam, like one side is the battle run camp ground and the other down on the river is the NPS free spot. there are bathrooms there aswell

I'm going to see if my Dad wants to come with me. He loves the area and we've been there before. I recall doing a bike trail with him along the river above Thurmond.

If he can't make it, I still might come alone.

                          Love, love, love WVa!!
