  • 3rd Annual NorthEast Capri Gathering - Open to FF too :)

I'm copying my post from my Capri forums - I'm opening my meet/cruise to anyone willing to participate. Come on out & have some fun! Bring your Capri/Festiva/Aspire/Escort/Protege/Enzo!

Howdy all... It's that time of the year again! The 3rd Annual NorthEast Capri Gathering will be held Saturday, September 24th in Marshalls Creek, PA!

This will be another Meet & Cruise: We will gather late morning for chat, coffee & donuts followed by a scenic cruise through the beautiful Pocono Mountains, grabbing some lunch along the way. We have had a blast the last two years, come out this year and have some fun! The meeting place will be Dunkin Donuts off rt. 209 in Marshalls Creek.

The condition of your Capri does not matter! This isn't a car show, it's an opprotunity to meet fellow Capri owners, socialize, and enjoy your Capris together in some very scenic country. The only thing that matters is your presence!

Here's video from the beginning of last year's cruise: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8C3R3QXmhKU

And a photo gallery of pictures from 2010 as well: http://imageevent.com/roosport/2ndnecg/2ndnecg

Here's our flyer for this year:

Hope to see some folks return & some new faces as well! There is an event page on Facebook if you'd like to check that out as well.

    -Matt / Rocketman

PS. We'll have a used Capri parts vendor at the meet, as well. Should have a bunch of B6 dohc parts maybe even a full turbo swap if anyones interested.

This is pretty close to me. My brother and I might go. In his Capri I guess. I might bring the Festiva too.

Looking at 10+ Capris this year, with people coming from as far away as Wisconsin, Illinois, and Iowa so far

            Here's finalized meet info:

To make things a little easier this year we will meet at the PA Welcome Center in Delaware Water Gap.
            It's right off Route 80, Exit 310.

For a GPS Address you can use: Intersection of "Broad Street" & "Highway 2028" (also known as "River Road", your GPS may vary) in Delaware Water Gap, PA. The entrance for the Welcome Center is right around the corner from this intersection, you will see signs for it.

Here is a link to a Google Maps location for the Welcome Center: http://maps.google.com/maps?q=40.990...h&vpsrc=0&z=18

This address is right up the street from the Pocono Inn at Water Gap where many attendees will be staying. There will be a Capri parked at the entrance to the help guide people in. I was planning on meeting at a Dunkin Donuts but this location will be much easier for everyone to get to.

We will be meeting 10:30 - 11:00 AM. I hope to begin the cruise a little before Noon. WE WILL MEET RAIN OR SHINE! As always - I will have Coffee & Donuts for everyone.

The cruise will be a little different this year, we will be going into the Water Gap like the last two years for a photo op, and then following the Delaware River north via Rt. 209 through the Park Service. We will have lunch in Milford or Matamoras PA, and we could possibly visit High Point NJ if there is interest & enough time. I will have maps printed for everyone to make things easier.

If you have any questions, please ask! If you are attending I ask that you email me, I will provide my cell # in case you need to get in touch with me. I can be reached at rocketman[AT]werbatfik.com

***If you are coming & looking to purchase any parts or an ECU from me, please let me know so I can have things ready!***

Looking at approx 15 Capris now, if everyone come's who's given me a verbal commitment.

Well unfortunately I won't make it. My brother's Capri blew a hole in the block after developing a knock. Going to swap in another b6, but finding one is difficult. Maybe we'll throw my old b3 in there. :p

You're both still more than welcome to come on up, we will have a few non-capri cars too! Would be cool for your bro to come up & see what some of these things can do.

Either way that'd be the first 1.3 capri I've ever seen... if you need help sourcing a B6 let me know - www.car-part.com is super helpful but I have a few friends with parts cars unfortunately not too local. Should find a BP and throw that in there - lmk if you need a hand!
