Thanks for a fun day everyone. It was overcast and cool today but no one seemed to mind too much. After one late arrival at Smedley's house, we ended up with 15 cars.
We hung out and had lunch at Char Grill for several hours. Then kartracer46 led a convoy to the O'Reilly's in order to show off our cars. He's been buying so many parts there that they had asked about us hosting a meet there and he wanted to do a short stop. We all got hats and the kids all got water bottles from the manager who came out to check the cars and snap a few pictures.
Then we convoyed to Madness Central for some car repairs and check ups. As I'm writing this at almost midnight several of the guys are still working in the garage. I thought they were going to set the place on fire earlier. They can tell that part of the story. They are nuts. LOL
Here is a link to to pics thread. I'm going back to it shortly to upload a few more.

What a GREAT day seeing all the Festiva enthusiasts, the cars & swapping stories ( and parts! ) Thanks Barbara for opening your home & your heart once again. You're the best!
I can't thank Kartracer46 & Scitzz enough for all the work they put in on my ride, doing the late nite rear spring swap / bushing toasting event in the garage! Not to mention all the pizza, coffee & laughs we had wringing the heads off bolts! You guys are absolutely incredible.
I just love the hardcore Festiva-gearhead attitude: "There's nothing you can break that we can't fix!" Yep. I've seen it with my own eyes!
Focustiva: Because I was told it was was impossible to fit a Focus bumper on a Festiva.

You mean this bushing toast? This is the best way to remove a strut! Brought to you by the NC crew, and Jay's garage!

Had a great time at my first meet! It was nice meeting everyone. Thanks to Kartracer46 for getting my first Festiva on the road. Looking forward to the next meet! I got 43mpg on the road trip home to TN not bad for a car that had been sitting for years.
