  • Aussie-Atlanta meet?

    Hey guys,
I'm currently seriously looking into investment properties in the Atlanta area, still early days yet but long story short if all goes ahead I'll be flying over with my gf for a month or so. It's not all business however and I would love to meet up with some festy owners whilst I'm there. Seeing some of the cars would be fantastic and also see what this city has to offer.

No ETA as yet (it may not happen at all) but I'd like to finalize things by June/July so we're looking at a summer holiday in Atlanta. Shout out if anyone would be interested.
    200,000KM milestone!

Sounds awesome! Bring us a four door AUS model and I will send you back with TWO of my festivas lol. But seriously, if you do end up coming up here let me know! As for what the city has to offer, I'm not a big fan of cities, but ATL is a pretty neat place. I prefer up here where we're at, about an 1 and a half hours north of the city. Gorgeous country, and super awesome mountain driving roads What type of investment properties are you considering? Rentals, condos, etc?
      No festiva for me ATM...

Sounds great guys. More the merrier

htchbck: To answer your question I'm looking at getting 3 rentals though I'll just be testing the waters with 1 to begin with. Basically you can buy 3 homes there for the price of 0.5 homes here (not kiddin') and whilst our dollar is stronger than USD you'd be crazy not to at least consider it. My research so far suggests ATL has held out pretty well compared to other states and prices are still a lot lower than they should be over a long term average. It also means future visits will be tax deductible so if this happens I'll be coming back regularly

Anyway yeah, I would LOVE to bring my festy over if I could! Now that would be fun. Since that's not going to happen it may be possible to bring a few smaller items over with me if anything comes to mind that is workable.

I too would like to be a part of this. Atlanta has a lot to offer, and should be a welcome warmth in contrast to a cold Oz in July. What kinds of things would you like to see? I can play travel agent for you.
