Got home round 10pm today. Was great to see everyone again and see some new folks and put faces with screen names! I had a blast as usual
Averaged around 32-33mpg in the Grand Prix-Up, ride home today was crappy due to rain.
Going to break out part of my Major Award soon & relax!

I averaged 41 in the 2! Not bad for a car that is EPA rated at 35.

I averaged 32 mpg across the whole 625 mile adventure in my forester.

Ha! I was happy getting 44mpg on the final leg of my trip. The middle leg was only 32mpg! I think the fresh new air filter and all highway driving did the trick.
I've been getting around 34mpg everyday to work and back so we'll see if that improves with the new plugs and filter.

i figure i'd see better than 45 if i had better tire pressure and neutraled the alignment a little more. a coil out of all the springs and a short belly pan with air dam should get me over 48 and a few other tricks should then get me over 50 (goal).
i have a spare festy trans that i could use (in desperation to, or just for fun, if, i get over 50)Last edited by FestYboy; 05-27-2012, 09:08 PM.

That sounds like what I was getting with my old egg "mable" on long trips before I switched to EGT calipers and 14's.

got to the house at 4 PM. the weekend netted me a new car, another Capri brake swap, and an average of 44.2 MPG (windows open = 43.9, A/C on = 44.5)
starting to like Bruce, but he needs some love before i'm really satisfied.

Had a great time at the meet! Gots to meet a few peeps I haven't met b4 but wanted to. Tricked Arty into buying my Aspire. Then went to breakfast Sunday morning w/John, Pat & Arty.
Flew home from Pittsburgh airport, which Arty transported me to. Small twinjet, about 54 seats I think. Two Jihadists attempted to hijack it, but the steward and I quickly subdued them, gave them wedgies and pushed them out the left emergency door, wishing them good luck with the 72-virgin thing. Just then the plane banked left, so we had the chance to watch them re-acquaint themselves with Mother Earth. We were at 30,00 feet, and after about 10K feet of falling they disappeared from view. Then a few seconds later, we saw two small puffs of dust arise almost simultaneously, and knew they would soon be issued their virgins*. Then the steward broke out some wine and beer, and we all had a celebratory drink.
Other than that, it was a slow day.....
* Note: see article attached. There is some controversy over the promise of virgins. There is evidence that they will actually get raisins instead.
